    Two Thumbs Up Performance!, 4.6.2010

After a 1st weekend of beautiful weather and riding I can safely say that my newly installed Maxflow Air Intake System combined with a new Roadhouse 2-1 Exhaust system create a match made in Heaven. Great performance gains especially with two up. Less downshifting with more power. Maxflow kit was easy to install and looks great on my black 650 Classic(glad I selected the red foam filter!). Thanks again Maxflo Engineering!!!

I am a petite woman that needs a small bike, and a lot of power. They just don't make bikes like that. I was always trying to find another gear that was not there. I did a lot of research before I decided on the MaxFlo to be the Jet kit and air filter system I went with for my V-Star 650. I knew that the average jet kit just was not going to give me the power that I wanted. I also knew there had to be something out there that did. I found MaxFlo on my internet search. I read the testimonials and spoke with Lee on the phone a couple of times. I needed to be assured I was getting the power I wanted and felt I was paying for.
Yesterday, while I was waiting for my bike to be ready, I was talking to a guy that was waiting for his. All of the sudden the guys in the shop started a bike that shook the floor. The guy I was talking to said, "Is THAT your bike?" A mechanic walking by confirmed it was. I was excited. While I was paying for my bike the head mechanic, whom worked on my bike and I trust immensely, came up to me and said, "I am totally impressed." That was all I needed to hear.
As I rode my bike home, I made sure I took it out on a road that I was able to see what she could do. As I watched the speedometer rise and the engine not max out, I thought to myself, "Yeah baby, that's what I was looking for!"
Thanks Lee! It was just what the doctor ordered.

I wanted to let anyone who has a Vstar 650 or is thinking about getting one, this kit is well work the money. I changed my stock intake out with the Max Air intake and jet kit and the performance difference if noticable right from startup. It took me a while to get those damn brass screws out of the right side of the carb, but once I got that stripped screw out I was good. The instructions were easy to follow with pics and everything. I love what this kit did to my baby.
Thanks Lee for the work you and others have put into the design.

Like feeding the horse 'Hyper Hay'!, 1.7.2005

I'd guess that I am one of the first to install the MaxFlo 650, only because I haven't seen many reviews for the XVS650. Let me say this to the folks that are thinking about it....DO IT1 It's like feeding the horse 'Hyper Hay'! I never thought she would get up and move like it does with a minor bit of jet changes, and FREE airflow....even with the stock pipes, this "Raven Star" will fool the "experts" out there that don't know it's a medium displacement cruiser. I don't loan my "Raven Star", anymore than I would loan you my toothbrush, so you'll have to try it for yourself. You will pleasantly surprised. The full range of locomotion from low end to top end is easily achieved using the MaxFlo 650. I am thoroughly satisfied, and would recommend to anyone that wants to put some "Ummmmpppphhhhh in their get-up-and-go", to install the MaxFlo 650 without hesitation. Lee was kind enough to put it on sale during the holidays 2004, but I don't know if anyone took advantage of the sale price. You missed the boat, and I hope you climb aboard the next time, 'cause it's easy sailing now. The instructions are clear for installation of the breathing adaptation. My settings for the region I live in (Eastern NC) are clearly posted on the Delphi Forum. (RCINNC). Now with all the power it has, the pipes are not thunder loud, but you will hear me before I flash by. I will say it once more......DO IT! The larger displacement riders are already aware of the benefits, from the reviews I've read. No reason why I can't keep up with the big boys now. I'm by no means an expert, but I know that it's better to smile each and every mile.....put a grin on and go for it. There is no hesitation, vibration, or irritation when you find that sweet spot.
