This weekend I finally was able to finish installing the starter cable kit. I haven’t been able to get out on a ride yet as it’s been pretty cold here in NC but I was able to back it out of my garage and start it several times. Now in the past I would have to top charge it completely and then start it. After a few tries it would labor and act like the battery was dying. Well I haven’t charged it in a few months. I started it and she fired right up, at least 10 times. I was shocked and relieved at the same time. Every time it was a fast strong start. My bike is a 2008 model. To think that I have been dealing with this for 16 years. I’m glad that I came across this product on Paul Darrigo’s youtube channel. One tip that I could add is to use some dielectric compound to assist in running the wires and reinstalling the terminal end rubber caps. It makes the job much easier. Since I’m an airplane mechanic I happened to have some Dow Corning DC-4 on hand for the job. Since the stock cables are about 1/2 the diameter you need to make some adjustments to the routing and a few other parts to get this installed. I wish I knew about this kit years ago!

These cables are a great up grade. I have used a lot of maxairs products and as all ways it delivered. These cables are a must have for any bike.

I've had this for a little over a week and I really like how fast it turns over the motor. Would highly recommend for a yamaha with a 1900cc engine. No more slow cranking and starts within 2 revolutions of the motor.
